Getting oriented

Google Earth map

The University of Victoria is easy to get to and easy to get around. Connected to downtown Victoria by several major bus and bicycle routes, the campus also offers ample parking and an accessible and pedestrian-friendly environment.

If you’re visiting the area, both the main UVic campus (15 minutes from downtown Victoria by car) and Dunsmuir Lodge on the Saanich Peninsula offer overnight accommodation and meeting spaces. Coordinate a retreat, organize a wedding, or simply stop for lunch and take a stroll through the gardens.

Meetings and event planning

There are over 130 meeting spaces on campus to rent, including the 1200-seat Farquahar Auditorium. Classrooms and lecture halls that accommodate 10 to 500 people are available for seminars, tradeshows, lectures, slide presentations and conferences. Some buildings, such as the Cadboro Commons and Student Union Buildings, can be reserved at any time of year. Others may have limited use due to Academic bookings. Groups seeking picturesque seclusion will want to explore the availability of Dunsmuir Lodge's 15 meeting rooms.

Audio visual and catering services are available at all locations.
