Residence Profile: Adam Lewis

Living in residence is the best thing any student can do if they want to have fun, and get good grades at the same time.

Even if my family had been living in Victoria, I still would have chosen to live in UVic residence. I have lived in residence for 3 years, and actually spent one semester off campus, which wasn't nearly as much fun. When living on campus, making friends is automatic and requires little effort, because you're forced to become social. Another plus of living on campus, is that the proximity to classrooms is so close, making you much more inclined to attend all your classes.... this definitely helps in the quest for better marks. Residence soccer teams are a must, because they open up opportunities to find people who share the same interests as you, or just like to party! I would strongly recommend living in residence to everyone because it is the perfect transition point for a student looking to move away from home and become independent.
