Construction plans

The University of Victoria is growing. Four new campus buildings are under construction, and are scheduled to open in 2008. These new facilities will meet the needs of increasing student enrolment and provide essential research, learning and office space.

Summer 2007

  • Underground heating, water, gas, electrical, sewer and treated waste water services for new campus buildings were installed during July and August. Projects were scheduled together in order to minimize disruption to the campus community. Crews are working hard to ensure campus pedestrian paths affected by detours will reopen the week of September 4.
  • Ring Road will reopen to regular traffic by 5 p.m. Friday, August 31. The road was closed to vehicles during July and August in order to redirect the sewer line from the Oak Bay system to the Saanich system.
  • Beginning Saturday, September 1, campus parking lots 1, A, B and C will also reopen, and buses to UVic will resume their regular routes.

UVic is committed to your safety. Please use caution near construction areas. We apologize for any inconvenience.
