Apply for admission

Apply for admission

Applying online is easy

The University of Victoria is now accepting online applications for admission. The Apply for Admission pages have complete information needed to prepare and submit an application. Here's a summary of the steps:
  • A completed application form through the Post Secondary Application Service of BC (PASBC) must be submitted (available on the Ready to Apply page)
  • Pay the application fee (pay online after completing the application)
  • Send in documentation (transcripts, test scores, etc.) *

* Note: Some programs require additional information such as letters, portfolios, or questionnaires.  You'll be notified on the application if this is required.

Once the application is complete, your student will receive an email with a student number.  At that time, your student will also receive a name, phone number, and email for direct contact with our Admissions staff.

Parents of Indigenous students, international students, and transfer students will find additional information in the tabs below.

Aboriginal
Applicants

UVic is committed to increasing Aboriginal enrolment and graduation, and welcomes applications from First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and Non-status Aboriginal peoples. Your student may apply online by following UVic's handy step-by-step admission checklist.

Our Aboriginal students are encouraged to self-identify so that UVic can send them relevant information. The voluntary declaration will NOT be used for admission decisions. Documentation of Aboriginal ancestry is not required.

If your student does not qualify under the general admission categories, UVic has a First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Special Category (which includes Non-status Aboriginal). The student's application will be reviewed by the Senate Committee on Admission, Reregistration, and Transfer.

Don't forget to review specific program requirements, as certain degrees such as law and education have a specific application process for Aboriginal students. Additional admissions information can be found through the Office of the Registrar and Enrolment Services.
