Help for users with screen readers
The main UVic website has several features for users with screen readers.
- At the top of each page there is a link, "skip to this page's content"
that skips over the common navigation to the content.
- At the very bottom of the content, there is a link that jumps back to the
common navigation links.
- There is a quick link to a text-only A-Z index of all UVic websites at
the top of every page. Use this page to quickly find any UVic website.
- At the top of the text-only A-Z index there is a link to a list of contact
information for all departments and units on campus.
- This site uses standard accesskeys for keyboard navigation to the most
important links. Access keys are shortcut keys assigned to important links.
To use them, in Internet
Explorer: press the key combination and
then Enter. In Netscape 6+ and Mozilla:
just press the key combination. They don't work in Opera. On a PC,
Press ALT and the key, on a Mac, press CTRL and the key.

Notes:
- The main UVic website has a navigation menu for our main audiences: becoming
a student, current students, faculty and staff, and alumni and friends. Submenus
under each of these audience menus are sometimes repeated.
