The Student Union building (SUB) is home to a variety of student
services, all operated by the UVic Student Society (UVSS). These
include the UVSS general office, a cafeteria, coffee shop, photocopy
centre, used bookstore, travel agency, and hair salon. This hub
of student activity also houses CFUV radio, the Martlet
newspaper, and Cinecenta, a 302-seat movie theatre. One of the
on-campus social hot spots, the SUB also features a licensed
lounge. A Women's Centre and Native
Student Centre are also housed in the building.
